Day 2 of R2R Team's WACS at Samal District Hospital

WACS: DAY 2 OF 3 | R2R Team is at Samal District Hospital for the continuing waste analysis and characterization study (WACS) of the waste generated by the Samal District Hospital. This is in line with the proposed establishment of a Provincial Health Care Waste Treatment Facility to manage the infectious and hazardous waste coming from hospitals operated by the DavNor Provincial Government. The project is at the feasibility study stage and implemented by the Provincial Government ENR Office headed by Dr. Romulo Tagalo, PENRO.
Aside from knowing the infectious, toxic, and hazardous waste, the WACS for this facility means finding out how biodegradable, recyclable, residual, and potential residual waste are discarded in its waste stream. Waste characterization information helps plan how to reduce waste, set up information, education and communication campaign programs, and design treatment and disposal facilities.
