Officials from the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy (MENRE) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) visited the R2R Group
MENRE-BARMM | Officials from the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy (MENRE) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) headed by Engr. Abdulmaoti A. Akmad, Chief, SWM Division and Engr. Sindatu Dimaraw, Supervising EMS, visited the R2R Group. This is for the planned collaboration in strengthening the implementation and compliance in environmental protection by LGUs and industries, particularly on wastewater and solid waste management initiatives in the BARMM areas covering five (5) provinces, i.e., Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Tawi-Tawi, Sulu and Basilan.
A series of technical assistance and capacity-building activities will be implemented to be spearheaded by MENRE-BARMM in collaboration with the R2R Group. It can be recalled that the inauguration of the BARMM Government was only in March 2019, after the plebiscite in January 2019.
