WACS DAY 3 OF 3 | R2R Team on its last day here in Samal District Hospital for the waste analysis and characterization study (WACS). This is in line with the proposed establishment of the Provincial Health Care Waste Treatment Facility.
COVID-19 pandemic increased the generation of used face masks in the health care waste stream, which is considered infectious waste and should be put in “yellow” colored waste containers or bins—these infectious waste needed to be treated first before final disposal.
