Coastal Hazard Mapping on the two impact barangays of Therma Visayas, Inc.--Brgy. Bato and Brgy. Cabitoonan
In line with the recently conducted Participatory Coastal Resource Assessment (PCRA) on the two impact barangays of Therma Visayas, Inc. (TVI)-- Barangay Bato and Barangay Cabitoonan, Toledo City, R2R Geology Team, headed by Geol. Dana Gabrielle Tautho also had a Coastal Hazard Mapping on the two barangays. The activity is done to assess the physical attributes of the coastal barangays, especially on the existing coastal geohazards in the area. It is to help further to raise awareness to the people in the barangays on the mitigating measures that they can do to keep themselves away from harm.
In the background is the majestic Tañon Strait, recognized as the largest marine protected area in the Philippines.
