The beauty of the mangrove ecosystem

The mangrove ecosystem is home to many important fish species. Mangrove forest is a natural barrier that serves as coastal protection that can withstand and break wave action that is much stronger than building sea walls. However, this same ecosystem is degrading as its being threatened by many human activities. One of which is unmanaged solid waste that gets trap into its roots systems. Let us all take part in maintaining a healthy mangrove ecosystem through consciously managing and properly segregating our waste.
