The ongoing GHG Inventory at the community level of the Provincial Government and each DavNor LGUs

The ongoing GHG Inventory at the community level in the photo, specifically at LGUs Kapalong and Sto Tomas, Davao del Norte. This is the second batch of the community level assessment after LGUs New Corella and Carmen last year. The overall target is to comply with the DILG requirements in incorporating some mitigation initiatives in the enhanced Local Climate Change Action Plan (e-LCCAP) of the Provincial Government and each DavNor LGUs.

The GHG data is primarily used to estimate the number of trees and hectares to be planted, including the budgetary requirements of the subsequent tree growing program to be implemented. The assessment will also focus on the existing program on reforestations and its equivalent carbon sequestration rate.
